Hydrogen is considered the energy carrier of the future and can make a decisive contribution to decarbonisation. It is mainly used in power generation, the industry and mobility sector and in the heating market. The greatest potentials lie in the fuel industry, the heavy-duty transport sector and the steel industry. While hydrogen gas serves as an energy supplier in the automotive sector, the gas can also be used as a reducing agent in steel production, thus replacing coal and natural gas.
Only in very few cases the hydrogen is produced on site and must therefore be delivered. This is where we, as an established manufacturer of quantity measurement systems, come into play. In cooperation with the experienced calibration laboratory of Trigas FI GmbH, we have developed product solutions for H2 filling station operators and hydrogen gas suppliers:
The compact GH2+ metering system series was developed for measurement and accounting of highly compressed hydrogen transported in trailer vehicles. The flow measurement system stands out from competing systems due to its temperature-independent mass flow measurement. It guarantees high accuracy and safety thanks to its custody transfer certification.
Our RMS Hydrogen Reference Measuring system makes it possible to carry out a complete metrological test, e.g. of a hydrogen filling station, within a few hours. The results provided by our RMS serve as a basis for custody transfer acceptance tests, e.g. according to SAE J2601.
